air tanged with saltÂ
this breath of brine
and rock pools languishÂ
in the sun
these waiting roomsÂ
between the tides
caressed by foamyÂ
fingertips
a tiny fishÂ
with silver flanks
is anything butÂ
bored or still
she seeks in joyÂ
her sustenance
and tells me not to fear
the flow
